Terms of Use

(Taxer will not sell, share, or pass any of your personal or contact information to third parties without first directly asking your permission.)

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Taxer (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use, all applicable laws, and regulations. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you may not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

Taxer provides tools that help users organize and classify their information, including (but not limited to) job listings, articles, and personal datasets.

Users may submit information through:

  • A web-based form
  • API endpoints
  • File uploads

3. User Accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. User Content

You retain full ownership of any content you upload, submit, or store through the Service (“User Content”).

By using the Service, you grant BTaxer a limited license to process, store, and display your content only as necessary to provide the Service.

You agree not to upload unlawful, harmful, misleading, or copyrighted material without permission.

5. Credits and Usage Limits

Upon registration, users may receive an initial number of free credits to access platform features.

Credits may be consumed through actions such as classifying, processing uploads, or API usage. Credits have no cash value and are not transferable.

6. Subscription Plans and Payments

Taxer offers optional paid plans that provide additional credits and enhanced features.

  • Payments are charged immediately upon subscription purchase.
  • Plans renew automatically unless canceled before the end of the billing period.
  • You may manage or cancel your plan in your account dashboard.

7. Refund Policy

We want you to feel confident in your subscription. Refunds are offered under the following conditions:

  • Monthly plans may be refunded within 7 days of the first payment only.
  • Subsequent payments are non-refundable.
  • No prorated refunds are provided for unused credits.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service. Prohibited actions include:

  • Attempting to reverse engineer or exploit the platform
  • Uploading malicious files or harmful content
  • Excessive API abuse or automated scraping
  • Using the Service for unlawful purposes

9. Disclaimer

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Taxer makes no warranties regarding reliability, accuracy, or uninterrupted access.

10. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Taxer be liable for damages arising from your use or inability to use the Service, including loss of data, profits, or business interruption.

11. Modifications

Taxer may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict of law principles.
